Why now
Ask ChatGPT for "a good accountant in Ghent" or "an estate agent with a video of every property" and you get a short list of names. If you are not on it, you do not exist for that customer. If you are on it with outdated or wrong information, you are even worse off.

Running in production at nanopixo
At nanopixo, the AI platform that turns property listings into promo videos, we run our own MCP server. An estate agent can look up a property from within Claude, have a video made of it, adjust the style and schedule the post on social media, without opening the platform itself.

What is llms.txt?

What is an MCP server?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants talk to external systems safely. An MCP server for your company lets an assistant like Claude or ChatGPT look up your offer, prices or availability live, or take actions you allow.
Does every company need an MCP server?
No. For most companies llms.txt, solid structured data and correct listings are enough. An MCP server pays off when customers or partners want to look up or do something that changes: stock, prices, calendars, cases or orders.

Structured data and consistent listings help with Google too, including rich results and AI Overviews. llms.txt itself does not affect your Google ranking; it is aimed at AI agents.
Does my website need to be rebuilt?
