mediavan

Independent CTO. I help companies ship, and figure out where AI actually fits.

Currently focused on nanopixo. Open to the right fit.

What I do

Fractional CTO

Senior tech leadership for startups and scale-ups that don't need a full-time hire yet. Architecture, hiring, roadmap, hard calls.

Advisor

Sounding board for founders and tech leads. Direction, AI strategy, what to build next, what to stop building.

Co-founder

In the room from day zero, for the right venture. Building product, pipeline and business, like at nanopixo.

Track record

nanopixo

Co-founder · since 2026

AI platform that turns every property listing into branded, multi-language promo videos. One URL in, ready-to-publish content out. Building the product, the pipeline, and the business.

Lobbi PMS → RoomRaccoon

CTO · 2020–2026 (exit)

Scaled Lobbi to the leading independent PMS in the Benelux. 300+ hotels in production. Built the team, owned the architecture, ran the infra. Closed the acquisition by RoomRaccoon in 2026 and led the technical transition.

Stroom

Shareholder · since 2024

Independent craft brewery in Ghent. I back things I believe in. Soigneur (NA), Mondello and Dirty Boots are very good reasons to keep showing up.

Before that: 16+ years through Mediavan as CTO, founder and freelance dev. Long-term gigs at ArcelorMittal, Nationale Loterij, Telenet, Newtec and TBWA. AdBannerKing (founder, 2013–2016). Started shipping interactive things in 2005.

How I work

I listen first, then tell you what I actually think, in plain language, even when the answer is technical. Friends keep telling me it's a rare combo: a dev who can actually speak. I'll take it.

AI is rewriting how teams ship. I help companies figure out where it helps, where it bites, and what's worth building. No buzzword salad, no slide decks pretending to be strategy. I'm shipping AI myself at nanopixo, so the answers are concrete.

Code when code is the answer. None when it isn't. Direct in writing, direct in person.

Let's talk

Fifteen minutes is usually enough to know if there's a fit. If there isn't, you'll still leave with a clearer view of your problem.
